Last month my wife and I decided to finally bite the bullet and clean out the attic. Neither one of us had been up there in a couple years, so we were totally frightened as to what we might find up there. As soon as I went up there I immediately knocked over a box of Christmas invitations. Once I realized what they were, I started looking through them all and realized that we never got around to mailing most of these. This was a few years ago when we were going through a difficult time, and we got so angry with one that we decided to cancel our Christmas celebration altogether.At the bottom of this box were also some Halloween party invitations, which had also suffered the same fate. My wife and I actually spent a good deal of time reminiscing about all of this, and it was clear to both of us that we couldn’t bring ourselves to throw them out. They ended up being a symbol of our enduring love and time with one another, so we dusted them off and stored them right next to the graduation announcements that our daughter had just received in the mail.
